Find My Time

IT and tech assessment

Who actually owns your domain?

Your website and email depend on a handful of settings most owners never see: who holds the domain, where it points, when things renew, whether someone could send email that looks like yours. I check all of it from the outside. No passwords, no access, nothing to install.

Sound familiar?

  • The person who built your website doesn't work with you anymore.
  • You're not sure whose account the domain is registered in.
  • Some of your emails land in customers' spam folders.
  • You got a renewal notice and didn't know if it was real.
  • The site is slow on a phone.

What I look at

Ownership and renewals
Where the domain is registered, whose name is on it, when it renews, and whether auto-renew is on.
DNS and hosting
Where your domain points, who controls those settings, and who hosts the site.
Email settings
The records (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) that tell other mail servers your email really comes from you.
Security certificate
Whether the padlock is there, set up properly, and renewing on its own.
Speed, phones and search
How fast the site loads, how it looks on a phone, and the basics Google looks for.

What you get

  • A red, amber and green scorecard you can read in a minute.
  • Each finding in plain English: what it is, and what happens if you leave it.
  • A fix list, in order, with the ones you can do yourself marked.
  • Every renewal date in one place.

Your domain is the key to your website and your email. If it's in someone else's account, or it lapses, both stop working.

How it works

  1. Free 15-minute call (optional)

Tell me what's worrying you. If this review is the right one, I'll say so. If it isn't, I'll tell you that too.

  2. What I need from you

Your domain name. That's it. I only look at what anyone on the internet can see.

  3. I do the review

I go through everything against a checklist, and I check every finding myself before it goes in the report.

  4. The written report

A red, amber and green scorecard up front, then each finding in plain English: what it is, what happens if you leave it, and how to fix it.

  5. Review call, 30 minutes

We go through it and decide what to fix first. Do it yourself from the list, or I'll fix it at a fixed price and credit the review fee toward it.

Straight answers

This is a check, not a fix. You can work through the list yourself, or I'll quote the fixes at a fixed price and credit the $399 toward it.

Why don't you need a password?

Everything I check is public: domain records, DNS, the certificate, and the site itself. That's also why it's quick.

My web person handles this.

Then this is a second pair of eyes, and a list you can hand them.
